Discussion:
Easton Si-core vs. Synergy

Hey

I'm a big fan of the Synergy and I was thinking of picking up the Orange
Si-core. It's supposed to be the top of the line with silicone inserts for a
better feel.

Has anyone tried the two of them that can offer a little insight?

Thanks,

Jeff

Believe it or not, it works. I was very sceptical. I've used Synergy's for
a while and initially hated them but kept them because I'd spent the money
on them. The Si-core definitely lets you pass and more importantly hang on
to a pass with a very cushioned feel. Key point......the pucks DO NOT
bounce off the blade receiving a pass...something you have to develop a real
feel for with a regular Synergy.

I bought mine for $15cdn more than a regular Synergy (only because the cost
was very little more) and I've got to say what they advertise is true. I
don't know if you sacrifice durability because I've only had it a month but
it's a great feeling stick. I've had multiple Synergy's, Vector's (blade Ok
for curve but shaft feel, vibration sucked) etc, and nothing feels like the
Si-core. I was sceptical but it's true. I just hope I'm not sacrificing
longevity.

Hooked on one-piece sticks though.....I'd probably buy another one over
something else when it breaks. Be interesting to see what the new Bauer
Vapor XX and the new Louiseville XN10 are like though.

Excellent..... Thanks for the input. Like you mentioned, I'm hooked as
well... I don't think I can ever go back to a 2-piece stick or a wood stick.
With the synergy I can get a wrist shot off almost as had as my old
slapshot.

I currently play Synergy but I also have a Nike one piece that isn't too
bad...not as snappy as the Easton but it looks really cool and feels alittle
more like a wood stick.

I'm looking forward to the Si-core now....thanks!
